A Little About Me
You may be wondering, why MJS Photography, and indeed where does O’Flaherty Events come into this?
MJS is an amalgamation of a name, while O’Flaherty Events is taken from close family members, and was established in 2003. Ghost Chasers, which is also part of O’Flaherty Events, was established in 2004, where the team held their first paranormal investigation at Fort Paull, Hull, and became Hull’s Premier, Internationally Renowned Paranormal Investigative Team.
As Ghost Chasers grew, so did the need for publicity. To keep costs low, I began doing my own photo shoots—starting with a session at the York Dungeon—and soon discovered a passion for the craft. You can see some of these early images under Portraits and Fashion.
This passion soon led to bigger collaborations. For example, I partnered with Blazing Griffin to produce a charity program for their feature film, Anna and the Apocalypse, which included exclusive, unreleased photos. Although the screening was unfortunately delayed in 2020, this project demonstrates my ability to secure high-level professional partnerships and manage print production.
By combining my event planning expertise with my photography skills, I bring a unique edge to capturing your moments. Whether it's a concert, private function, or a VIP Meet and Greet, I can ensure a personal touch that creates truly lasting memories.
Additionally, my expertise in editing and image manipulation allows me to adjust, enhance, or create completely unique images, a skill that is showcased throughout my portfolio.
